John Bowlen, the 29-year old son of Denver Broncos owner Pat Bowlen, was arrested for domestic violence in Colorado. In his mugshot, John Bowlen is wearing a Broncos shirt.

The police report, obtained by the Denver Post, says John Bowlen was allegedly under the influence of “whippets” and alcohol when he shoved his girlfriend of 10 months up against the wall. She called 911, but he allegedly took the phone and hung up.

The 911 operator called back and according to TMZ, said:

“This is the owner of the Denver Broncos. I am sorry. K. Nothing is wrong. This is John Bowlen.”

John Bowlen has been placed on administrative leave by the team following the arrest.

Pat Bowlen served as owner of the team in July 2014 due to his battle with Alzheimer’s. In September 2014, the Denver Post speculated that John Bowlen could take over the team in the future.
