No, This Guy Did Not Hit a Golf Ball So Hard That it Split and Stuck to His Club

Ever scuff or cut a ball while playing golf? This used to be extremely easy with balata balls, but since the balatas have gone away, the outer shells of balls have become tougher. Even Titleist Pro V1s aren’t as easy to cut up as they used to be. A reconditioned Pro V1, however, is a different story.

This morning I came across video from Brisbane Golf Course Reviewer, of a guy hitting a golf ball so hard that it split and stuck to his club. I found this quite difficult to believe as I’ve seen and hit plenty of bladed shots in my life, and not once have I ever seen a ball cut and stick on a wedge. I also don’t think it would stay on the club through a full follow through.

Charlie Pearson, the guy in the video below, would like for you to believe he swung so hard that the ball cut and stuck on his club, but sadly, it didn’t. Nice try mate.
