Klay Thompson's Dad: "It's a joke to think [Dellavedova] can stop Steph Curry"

Mychal Thompson, the former Los Angeles Lakers center and father of Golden State star Klay Thompson, was asked about Cleveland point guard Matthew Dellavedova slowing down Warriors’ star Stephen Curry in the NBA Finals.

On some level, I agree with Thompson – Dellavedova is overplaying Curry, and help defenders are swarming the MVP anytime he moves, so it’s more a team effort than anything – but did he really have to go there hours before Game 4?

Why give the Cavs bulletin board material when they’re up 2-1 and the entire season is on the line tonight on the road?

Curry did score 24 points in 18 minutes in Game 4, but the Cavs held off the Warriors. Dellavedova scored 20 points.
