Michael Jordan is "Pretty Sure" He Can Beat Hornets Players in One-On-One
By Kyle Koster
The passing of time has done little to diminish Michael Jordan’s ample confidence. The 52-year-old owner of the Charlotte Hornets was asked by France’s L’Equipe if he still believes he could defeat some of his players in one-on-one.
“I’m pretty sure I can, so I don’t want to do that and demolish their confidence,” Jordan said. “So I stay away from them, I let them think they’re good…but I’m too old to do that anyway.”
How noble of him.
Let’s set reality aside. Would you expect Jordan to say anything different?
Hell, 34 percent of people surveyed last month believed Jordan could currently defeat LeBron James in one-on-one battle. Considering the fact James is a superior player to anyone on the Hornets’ roster, perhaps MJ’s confidence isn’t so outlandish.
I kid. Jordan would get smoked by most players half his age. His “too old” excuse is self-serving.
