The last year of Andrew Wiggins’ life has been quite interesting. From getting conspicuously left out of The Decision II: The Letter to getting shipped off to Minnesota for Kevin Love to winning Rookie of the Year honors, it’s been a whirlwind. Even without Love’s injury, I wonder whether Wiggins’ skill set would have made him more useful to the Cavs this season, let alone in the future.

Standing 6’8, Wiggins averaged 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this season. He won’t be legally allowed to drink until next February. There’s a lot of upside as his shot develops, and it will be interesting to see how Minnesota builds around him with the number one pick, which at this point is presumably Karl-Anthony Towns. Will they be competing out West in a year or two?
