Ready or not: HERE COMES SEPP.

Be honest, did you really think Sepp Blatter was going to go away this easy? I sure as hell didn’t. To call this dude “the cockroach” of humans is a glorious understatement — because whether you want to admit or not: he is the Vince McMahon of international football. Yeah, I know he doesn’t “own soccer” — he’s just the President … regardless: this guy has had his slimy paws all over FIFA since the day he took office. He may have formally ‘resigned’, but, you don’t just get rid of Vince McMahon from the story line … even after a ‘Stone Cold’ victory at Wrestlemania. Sepp is the Trojan Horse virus in your computer after you illegally pirated Game of Thrones from one of those BitTorrent websites. You can download all the Malware blockers you want, and think that you’ve finally gotten rid of it … but, deep down: you know that thing is in your computer and there is nothing you can do to stop it from spraying pornography ads all over your screen.

Anyways, the reason why i’m venting is because of Swiss newspaper Schweiz am Sonntags report that Sepp is allegedly going to stay in office, and not follow through with his June 5th resignation.

The Schwiz am Sonntag quotes an “unnamed source” saying:

"“[Sepp] had received messages of support from African and Asian football associations”"

…essentially asking him to reconsider his departure as President.

The next steps of this whole process are as follows: FIFA will set a date for the new presidential election next month. Per ESPN FC: it is expected to take place on Dec. 16, but, it obviously cannot happen unless there is actually a president role to fill.

Until he’s legally removed from office, I’m just going to assume that Blatter is back — because I can’t take him trolling us with this “i’m out! Actually, nevermind, i’m still here…” B.S.

When asked today whether Sepp was “categorically ruling out standing in the new presidential election”, FIFA told The Associated Press: “We refer you to the remarks from FIFA President Blatter from June 2nd. FIFA has no further comment.”

Great. Thank you for being transparent as always, FIFA. Can’t wait to see how this one turns out.
