Aston Villa's Jack Grealish Pictured Lying in the Road While on Vacation

Above you can see a picture of Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish during the FA Cup final on May 30 vs. Arsenal. Grealish didn’t play particularly well in the final, but the 19-year-old was a pleasant surprise down the stretch for the club and part of the reason it staved off relegation.

Below is a set of pictures that emerged of Grealish passed out in the road during a vacation in Tenerife.

The photos went viral on Sunday.

On Monday the club addressed the situation, prompting this headline from The Guardian: “Jack Grealish summoned by Aston Villa to meeting over pictures in Tenerife.” The club says it will handle the situation internally.

I’ll go out on a limb and guess that’s not the kind of headline you want to see during the brief soccer offseason. The Guardian story also notes how Villa manager Tim Sherwood previously warned about this sort of thing when photos of him inhaling nitrous oxide came to light in April.
