Roddy Piper Talks About Dennis Rodman's Time in WCW

This snippet of a Roddy Piper appearance on a WWE roundtable from a few years ago made its way onto YouTube today. In it, he talks about the period where Dennis Rodman was in WCW (The Worm made several appearances between 1997 and 1999 during NBA offseasons). While apparently the directions were not to touch him, Hulk Hogan wanted to feed Rodman to Piper for a bump as a publicity stunt. (“We’ll make the paper.”) Lamentably, Piper was “restrained” by “cops”.

I tried looking for the clip he’s talking about for 20 minutes or so this morning, but it’s not readily available on YouTube or by the WWE Network search function. I’d probably be able to find it if I manually looked through episodes of Nitro from that era — though it’s also possible it happened on Thursday Night Thunder — but that’s more effort than this is really worth. Instead, let’s just remember the time Rodman and Hogan fought DDP and Karl Malone, who had a physique at the time that we may, um, question in this day and age.
