From the sounds of it, DeMarcus Cousins is on his way out of Sacramento. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Kings coach George Karl is already sick of Cousins, and wants him gone. Karl is trying to convince the team’s owner to pull the trigger, but hasn’t been able to do so yet.

Cousins seems to believe it, given his tweet Monday night. So where does he end up? The interesting situation is that despite being only 24 years old, immensely talented, and coming off the best season of his young career, it’s difficult to find a landing spot for Cousins.

Philadelphia? Tough to trade damaged goods like Joel Embiid.

Boston? The Celtics have the picks, but is Cousins going to mesh with Brad Stevens?

The Lakers? We’ve been over that.

The Knicks could be in play, but how would Carmelo Anthony and DeMarcus Cousins play together?

Could George Karl trade for his former point guard – Ty Lawson – and Denver’s 7th pick as well? What about Atlanta, which could package the 15th pick, young PG Dennis Schroeder and Millsap or Carroll in a sign-and-trade?

We explore all the options above.
