Diddy Played by His Own Rules When He Went to UCLA to See His Son

As the world waits for video of the rapper swinging a 17-pound kettlebell at a UCLA football intern, the LA Times offers these details to show just how much of a soccer dad/helicopter dad/awful dad Diddy (nee Puff Daddy) was:

"While other parents parked in a designated lot, Combs and his entourage — often accompanied by bodyguards — pulled their black luxury automobiles onto the sidewalk between Spaulding Field and Pauley Pavilion. Families and media watched practice from a roped-off area. Meanwhile, Combs strolled the sidelines, part supportive father, part celebrity guest."

At the risk of sounding too harsh: Justin Combs was a nice high school football player who probably won’t ever suit up for the Bruins because of his talent level, but he might have if he attended a school in the MAC or the MWC. Does this happen if Combs accepts his offer from Tennessee Tech? No way. [via LA Times]
