D’Angelo Russell, the Ohio State point guard everyone thought was ticketed to the Philadelphia 76ers with the 3rd pick, was scooped up by the Lakers 2nd overall, and will join Kobe Bryant in the Lakers backcourt. It’s a surprise the Lakers didn’t take Jahlil Okafor of Duke, who might be the best NBA-ready player in the draft, and it puts the 76ers in a horrible spot.

Already with centers Nerlens Noel and Joel Embiid, what are they going to do with three centers?

The Lakers should be able to bolster their frontline in free agency, perhaps with Kevin Love, DeMarcus Cousins (via trade) or LaMarcus Aldridge.
