Carli Lloyd’s header in the 51st minute gave the United States a deserved 1-0 lead on China in the World Cup semifinals. Julie Johnston delivered the assist from deep as her fantastic tournament continues. The goal came during Lloyd’s 200th cap.
The goal puts the U.S. on its way to play Germany Tuesday in the semifinals.
