Kevin Love just announced on the Players Tribune website that he’s staying in Cleveland. He doesn’t say for how long, just that “we’re all on the same page and we’re all in.”

But Brian Windhorst of ESPN has the details:

Wow, didn’t see that coming. Love was willing to sign a 5-year deal when LeBron won’t commit that long? This certainly puts a damper on free agency, because it’s only fun when players are moving and chaos erupts.

It appears Tristan Thompson will be locked up soon as well:

What a fast-moving free agency. And everyone’s staying! Except DeMarre Carroll, who somehow got a 4-year, $60 million deal from the Raptors, who had to overpay him to leave Atlanta.

But back to Cleveland, because as of now, this is what the Cavs loaded roster will look like:

C – Mozgov, Varejao
PF – Love, Thompson, Rakeem Christmas
SF – LeBron, Mike Miller
SG – Shumpert, Joe Harris, Sir’Dominic Pointer
PG – Irving

JR Smith opted out; no telling if we’ll see him back. Shawn Marion retired, Mike Miller opted in, Kendrick Perkins is gone. Christmas and Pointer were drafted; Harris was selected last year. They’re trying to move Haywood, and it’s too early to tell if Dellavedova will return.

The loaded frontcourt sets things up nicely for the Cavs, who only need one more reliable guard to help lessen the scoring/minutes load on LeBron next season so he’s rested for the playoffs.
