Phil Kessel was traded from the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Toronto Sun was ready, waiting for the Leafs to show Kessel the door. Last night the Sun published a story entitled, “Leafs were sick and tired of Phil Kessel.” The story started with a tremendous anecdote.

"The hot dog vendor who parks daily at Front and John Sts. just lost his most reliable customer. Almost every afternoon at 2:30 p.m., often wearing a toque, Phil Kessel would wander from his neighbourhood condominium to consume his daily snack."

Nothing else in the story matters. Phil Kessel had a hot dog problem. He had to go. And what a time to come to America! Days before the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Can we get him a late entry? In America, we celebrate those who eat lots of hot dogs. Welcome to The States, Phil.
