Kevin Keirmaier Got Attacked by a Pigeon, Was Petrified With Fear
By Kyle Koster
Kevin Keirmaier singled in a run to give the Tampa Bay Rays a lead in the 12th inning last night against the New York Yankees. A local pigeon took exception and attacked the young outfielder in Hitchcockian fashion.
Keirmaier remembered his training and immediately played dead to stop the assault. Either that or he cowered in fear.
Obviously buoyed by the bird’s support, the Yankees went on to win thanks to a Brian McCann walk-off homer.
