Brock Lesnar Went on Another Demolition Derby Rampage
Brock Lesnar is the most compelling character in pro wrestling these days, and there’s not nearly a close second. His last big rampage was in late March, when he demolished the announcer table and F5’ed Michael Cole. Last night on Raw, the victim was a new Cadillac that had been given to pretty-entertaining-actually stooges J&J Security by WWE champ Seth Rollins.
Anytime somebody’s vehicle is a prized possession in WWE, it’s a matter of when and not if it gets destroyed. One of the most prominent example of this came when Steve Austin poured cement into Vince McMahon’s Corvette.
In the sequence last night, Lesnar mutilated J&J’s prized possession with a giant pull-axe and tore off one of the doors.
When he threw the door into the crowd, it appeared to hit a kid:
As Chris Spags of Barstool noted, WWE appeared to edit the chair throw a little bit on its YouTube video:
Later, he suplexed Joey Mercury onto the hood:
This took place in Chicago and I’m actually kicking myself for not going. This is the obligatory portion of the program where we acknowledge that wrestling is scripted, but the raw power on display from Lesnar — especially when he picked that door up and flung it in the air — would’ve been worth the price of admission [Update: I wrote that last sentence before seeing that the door might have hit a kid, and really hope he’s okay].
