Miami, Milwaukee or Chicago: Who Challenges the Cavs in the East?

The NBA draft is done, and free agency is largely complete, and that means it’s time to rank the teams in each conference. Yesterday the West. Today, the East.

Cleveland is in a class by itself by retaining Kevin Love. Healthy, the Cavs should easily win 60 games. Resting LeBron for 20 games is probably the only thing that stops them from chasing 70.

After that, healthy Miami, Chicago and ascending Milwaukee should battle for the top spots, with Atlanta falling back to the pack a bit after a marvelous 60-win season.

The final three spots should be a battle between Washington, Toronto, Indiana, and perhaps Charlotte or even Orlando.

What becomes of Boston and the Knicks?
