Dalvin Cook Was Cited for Chaining Three Pit Bulls Together in 2014

Dalvin Cook was cited in Tallahassee last summer for tethering three pit bull puppies together with a “heavy chain;” according to animal services, they were unable to move, two were choking, and the dogs were left out in the rain without shelter. This news was first reported by SI’s Andy Staples.

Cook, a star running back at Florida State, was arrested last week for allegedly punching a 21-year-old woman in the face outside a bar in Tallahassee last month, and has been suspended indefinitely.

Cook’s citation last summer came about a month after he and two teammates were allegedly involved in this BB gun fight, which was reported in October by the New York Times:
