Mike Trout led off the 2015 All Star Game in Cincinnati with a line-drive home run to right off Zach Greinke — the first run off the righty in 35+ innings (of regular season work). It’s the first leadoff home run since Bo Jackson in 1989 in Anaheim. That’s pretty cool.

This stat from Yahoo’s Jeff Passan might be even better.

Baseball is over-loaded with quirky stats and hitting for the cycle is atop that list, but this is pretty damned impressive by Trout regardless … especially to do it in order during his first at bats.

Trout is well on his way to rewriting the record books. He’ll turn 24 on August 7.

Anyways, here’s Jackson’s home run, which notably came with Vin Scully talking to Ronald Reagan in the booth.
