Sports Media: The Agency Wars

There’s an arms race of sorts happening among the big agencies in the talent business. Expect to hear much more news about this in 2015 and 2016.

Andre Ward, the undefeated boxer (28-0), signed with Williams Morris Endeavor in June, and you couldn’t have missed the news because it was splashed in two publications.

But Ward, who treats agents like he does opponents in the ring, has already left WME and signed with Roc Nation. Ward is currently the WBA Super Middleweight Champion.
