Darrelle Revis Takes Controversial Stance that Mark Sanchez was not Elite

Mark Sanchez carried the Jets to two AFC title games, and what thanks does he get? Darrelle Revis is featured in Sports Illustrated, in a cover that re-creates the Broadway Joe cover from 1965, and had this to say about his previous stint with the Jets:

“We almost made it, and we didn’t have a quarterback,” Revis tells SI. The story then notes how Revis maybe realized how that came across and adds, “Mark was solid. He wasn’t elite.”

I beg to differ. Few other quarterbacks could pull this off.
