Tom Brady Refuses to Accept Any Suspension, "Would Consider Accepting" Fine
By Jason McIntyre
As the world waits for Tom Brady’s suspension reduction – four games to two? To none? – here’s a comical one from the NFL Players Association: They reached out to the NFL last week with a settlement offer for the QB’s role in Deflategate.
According to ESPN, the NFL didn’t reply. This is next part is too funny:
"It is believed Brady is holding firm on his refusal to accept any suspension, though he would consider accepting a fine."
You’ve got to love the brass set of balls Brady is displaying here. Hey, I’ll gladly take a hefty fine, I’m loaded. But I won’t take a suspension.
This is going to end two ways: 1) Brady’s suspension is reduced to zero games and the public gets angry and Brady gets the last laugh or 2) Brady is suspended for a game or two and he files a lawsuit against the NFL, which is a horrible look for the league heading into the season.
