Hulk Hogan Removed From WWE Website as Rumors Swirl [UPDATE]

facebooktwitter

Hulk Hogan is no longer associated with the WWE, possibly because of a controversial recording that is about to surface. The WWE has scrubbed most references to Hulk Hogan from its website. (Even the BBC has taken notice.) According to Dave Meltzer, the WWE website was asked to remove all mentions of Hulk Hogan last night. The rumor most sites are running with is that there is a “racist rant,” or “racial tirade” on audio or video somewhere and the WWE is cutting ties ahead of the recording being made public.

UPDATE #3: Here is the official announcement from the WWE (via @JimmyTraina):

"“WWE terminated its contract with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan). WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”"

ORIGINAL:

When you search for “Hulk Hogan,” there is a result, but when you click, you get “You are not authorized to access this page.” All Hulk Hogan merchandise has been removed from the WWE shop.

Before anyone appears to have noticed the changes tot he website, Hogan sent out this cryptic tweet.

There’s also always the possibility that this is just a weird WWE story line, right?

Update #1: Here is some audio that sounds like Hulk Hogan telling a story that involves using the n-word. It’s more likely a podcast than a radio interview and I have no idea how old it is. Rumors of Hogan using this type of language has been around message boards since 2012 – when his sex tape first became public.

UPDATE #2: Here’s the full audio from a podcast with DJ Whoo Kid a few years ago. (h/t: @TheJohnnyWrobo)
