The New York Mets have moved a young prospect before the trade deadline. And that prospect is a baby racoon.

If you’re wondering where they got a cage on such short notice, you’re not alone.

Despite possessing dexterous front paws and a fierce game face, the raccoon apparently didn’t fit into the Mets’ plans for the future.

It doesn’t seem like the Mets are in the position of turning away potential good luck charms. Did they learn nothing from the Cardinals’ rally squirrel?
