Cincinnati Bengals Defensive End Michael Johnson Carted Off Field at Training Camp
By Rob Perez
Via The Cincinnati Enquirer: newly-acquired defensive end Michael Johnson, who was signed this off season to a four-year/$20 Million deal by the Cincinnati Bengals…
…went down “during a running-game drill 45 minutes into practice Sunday.”
The report continues…
"Johnson fell to the ground as a run play concluded and held his right knee. Trainers came out to look at him, rolled him over on his back and continued to look at the knee. A cart came out to the field and Johnson gingerly wobbled a few yards on his own power to the bed. The cart took him off for tests. No further details are known at this time. This was the first practice in pads of camp."
It’s an emotional blow for Johnson and the Bengals, as Michael had just re-signed with the franchise that he has recorded 79 games played for throughout his career — and also drafted him in 2009…
Let’s hope the injury isn’t serious, and Johnson is back out there for the fighting Who Deys ASAP…
