Andrew Quarless, the Green Bay Packers tight end, has had the worst summer, culminating with this awful news about why he missed the start of training camp: His baby daughter passed away during child birth.

His coach, Mike McCarthy said this to the media:

"“Andrew obviously has been gone because of what him and his family have been dealing with. From a professional standpoint, you’ve got to make sure that he’s OK, and that’s the priority."

After free agency and the draft, Quarless was the presumptive No. 1 tight end for the Packers heading into the 2015 season. Then, in July, he was arrested after firing gun shots in Miami. And now this gut-wrenching news that he and his wife, Rosie Sierra, have lost their baby. The last post on his wife’s twitter feed might make you cry.

Sometimes, life really sucks.
