Matthew Hasselbeck Drug Tested a Month Before His 40th Birthday

Matthew Hasselbeck, the 39-year old back-up quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, was drug tested yesterday. I’m not familiar with the league’s CBA so I’m not sure if this is random, mandatory or just the NFL wondering how a guy who turns 40 next month is still holding a job in the league. Hasselbeck has appeared in 7 games over the last two seasons as Andrew Luck’s back-up.

He was also drug tested last year. You would think he would stop being surprised.
