Matthew Stafford and His Wife Are In a Satellite Television Commercial

Matthew Stafford and his wife, Kelly Stafford, are actors. Here they are promoting one of those home satellite services that allows you to watch all the NFL games every Sunday. Alas, I’m a cable subscriber, so I can’t relate to the actions in this ad.

Anyway, the premise of this ad is that Matthew Stafford went to practice all week and then was not aware that his team had a game that Sunday. Compounding his problems, his wife didn’t inform him that he had a game until after the game had already started it. That’s not even mentioning the fact that Stafford is clearly watching his team play and that doesn’t remind him. Hello, Concussion Protocol much?

Then Kelly blows an air horn in his ear and  holds up a generic football helmet because even when you’re advertising the NFL, you want to be careful about using NFL logos. I’m surprised these ads don’t say, “If you want to watch all the American football sports games the day before Monday, buy our product!”

Oh, and this picture in the background is also very important.
