Washington starting tight end Niles Paul was carted off the field with a nasty-looking lower leg injury during Thursday night’s preseason game with the Browns. As of now the only update provided by the team is that he’s out for the rest of Thursday’s game.

Ian Rapoport offered this update:

Paul, a fifth-year veteran, caught 39 balls last year for 507 yards. His backups on the depth chart are Jordan Reed and Logan Paulson.
