Tiger Woods Missed the Cut at the PGA Championship
By Jason McIntyre
Tiger Woods missed the cut at the PGA Championship, shooting a 75 Thursday and a 73 Friday, and the once-great golfer continues a free-fall dating back to that fateful Thanksgiving weekend in 2009.
Woods missed the cut at the final three Majors of the year, by far the worst stretch of his career. He turns 40 on New Year’s Eve, and remains stuck on 14 Majors, but none since capturing the US Open in 2008.
Two Australians – Matt Jones (-11) and Jason Day (-9) – are atop the PGA leaderboard, with Jordan Speith lurking five shots back (-6, tied for 7th place).
