After getting caught stealing third base on Saturday night during the San Diego Padres’ game vs. the Colorado Rockies, outfielder Justin Upton  retreated to the dugout and showed his displeasure with the play result by throwing his helmet. We see temper tantrums in the dugout all the time, but, what made this one different is that the helmet Upton threw struck teammate Yonder Alonso in the back of the head with enough force to knock him off his feet.

Needless to say, Yonder was not very pleased with Justin…

Alonso was immediately pulled from the game as a precautionary measure. After the contest: Upton took full responsibility for his actions, telling Corey Brock of MLB.com:

"“We’re out there competing and that’s a big point in the game and I made a big mistake,” Upton said. “I was pretty upset about it. It’s childish. I’ve got to do better than that and not make that mistake again,”"

When asked if Alonso spoke with Upton after the incident, Yonder said:

"“We discussed that. I don’t think you guys [need to] know what was said. We talked about it, and it’s all good.”"

Today, it looked like Yonder and Justin settled any differences overnight — as Alonso was seen making light of the situation/walking around the dugout in full catcher’s gear, and the two dapped it up during the game…
