John Harbaugh Agrees with Donald Trump: "Build a Wall"

Thank you for your candor, John Harbaugh.

After taking some shots at referees, the Baltimore Ravens coach offered up his thoughts on Donald Trump’s “build a wall” comments:

"“I’m going Trump here,” Harbaugh told reporters after the Ravens’ practice Saturday. “Build the wall. If you don’t have a border, you don’t have a country. You’re not a country without a border, right? “At the same time, you’ve got 12-15 million hard-working people here. Give them a shot. Give them a chance to become a citizen so they’re paying taxes. All of us know that it’s not that complicated, but this side doesn’t want to solve it, neither does [the other] side. Neither one of them want to solve the problem. Solve the problem.”"

John Harbaugh’s probably going to be hammered on increasingly-liberal social media for these comments, but whether or not you agree with them, I think they deserve applause. Michael Jordan was always hammered for this legendary stance during his playing career: “Republicans buy shoes, too.”

So what do we want? Our athletes and coaches to say nothing? Let me guess – we want them to #sticktosports … unless they say something politically that we agree with? Got it.

I say bring on the refreshing candor. Nobody’s canceling their season tickets to Ravens games because John Harbaugh agrees with Donald Trump on the immigration issue. Hopefully, the Ravens don’t do something stupid and make him apologize.
