Dez Bryant took a punch to the face from St. Louis’ Imoan Claiborne yesterday during a practice scuffle. And one of the reasons teams don’t want their star wide receivers getting into preseason fights is because they might move lose an expensive accessory — as Bryant almost found out the hard way.

The confrontation resulted in a missing diamond earring. Finding it seemed a tall task. But luckily, a security guard named Miguel was on the scene to reunite a towel-wearing Bryant with his property.

Bryant previously lost an earring during a 2010 victory, so don’t expect this close call to change his fashion habits.
