Major League Baseball released its full 2015 postseason schedule this week. Due to the later start of the season back in April, the World Series could spill into the first week of November. The postseason begins on Oct. 6 with the American League Wild Card game, followed by the National League Wild Card game the next day.

The World Series is set to begin Oct. 27 — the same night the 2015-16 NBA season starts.

Last year’s World Series went seven games. Games 6 and 7 were played at Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium with first-pitch temperatures of 58 and 55 degrees. Trying to predict the weather for late October/November, let alone the team who’ll make the playoffs on Aug. 20 seems mostly foolish, but I’d guess the words “World Series” and “November” in the same sentence make some baseball fans antsy.

The last time the World Series crept into November came when the Giants closed out the Rangers in Game 5 of the 2010 Series. There’s a possibility up to three games could be played in November. That means Derek Jeter might have to share his Mr. November moniker.
