John McEnroe appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday. During that appearance, the 4-time U.S. Open Men’s Singles champion was asked if he could beat Serena Williams at tennis today. Here’s what the 56-year old former host of Dangle Chair had to say about a possible match against the 33-year old. AND I QUOTE!

"“I believe that I could still take her.”"

And it sounds like this isn’t the first time he’s been asked about it.

"“Fifteen years ago Donald Trump [presidential banter redacted] made an offer which I felt like was not enough. And I think he was humoring the two of us. And Serena, she’s got a lot to lose by losing to an old fart like myself. And I’ve got a lot to lose because if I lose to – God forbid – a woman, then I’m not allowed in any men’s locker room for the next 15 years or possibly the end of my life.”"

Well, this is just great. It’s like if the debate about Ronda Rousey fighting Floyd Mayweather had a baby with the debate about LeBron James playing one-on-one with Michael Jordan. You’ve got retired people versus current athletes and different sexes.
