Chip Kelly "Increasingly Excited" By Tim Tebow

Tim Tebow delivered a characteristic Tim Tebow experience on in Philadelphia’s first preseason game Sunday. At times he struggled with accuracy, at others he showed that the right offense could still use his legs as an asset. It remains to be seen whether or not he’ll make the Eagles’ roster. But, reading the tea leaves, it still seems plausible? Dianna Russini of ESPN reports:

Preseason reports are notoriously laden with smokescreen from sources, but Russini has enough connections with the Eagles to have reported back in March — at a time nobody else was saying anything along those lines — that the team was leaning towards signing Tebow. As she also points out, Tebow would be very valuable in short yardage situations, and with the new two-point conversion rule. This blogger is holding out hope that he’s called upon to start a game at some point this season.
