Bart Scott played with the New York Jets from 2009-2012. His former team is in the news so the CBS analyst gave his take on IK Enemkapli breaking Geno Smith’s jaw over $600. As a leader, Scott thinks Smith should have just paid his teammate and avoided the confrontation that cost him some or all of his season. Via the New York Post:

"“I can understand how that situation can escalate, especially because there’s an ATM in the players’ lounge,” said Scott, the former Jets linebacker who is now an analyst for CBS, at the network’s Media Day. “Come on, bro, you’re walking by an ATM every day. It’s just bam, bam, get the money.”"

He also compared him to a former Jets quarterback.

"“I’ve never heard anyone get into it with the quarterback,” Scott said. “In my opinion, if you put [former Jets quarterback] Mark Sanchez into that same situation and he couldn’t make it to the charity event or whatever happened, what a quarterback is supposed to do is to give you your $600 and donate $1,000 to your charity. That’s what a leader does. Maybe Geno is too young in the process to understand that and he has to mature more.”"

You know who would have handled this situation the right way? The Sanchize. One thing Scott didn’t take into account is that maybe the ATM in the players’ lounge had a $500 a day limit. What would Mark Sanchez have done then? Huh?
