P.J. Fleck Torching One of His Cornerbacks on a Pass Route is a Classic Good News-Bad News Situation

Donald Celiscar is Western Michigan’s top cornerback. P.J. Fleck, for all his exuberance, is a 34-year-old former wide receiver whose last NFL snap came in 2005. So while it’s kind of cool that the Broncos coach ran circles around the team’s No. 1 defensive back, I’m not sure the team should be all that excited.
The fact Celiscar couldn’t stop Fleck despite employing a clear hold doesn’t bode well for his chances to shut down Connor Cook and the Michigan State wide receivers next Friday.
