Dicky Pride finally made it. On Sunday, Pride won the Web.com Tour’s Portland Open and earned a PGA Tour card because he finished the season fifth on the money list. Pride is 46-years-old and was 40th on the money list entering the week, but his win earned him a smooth $144,000 and pushed his season total to $253,057.

"“I’m pretty amazed,” Pride said. “It was so tough. I’ve played the last five weeks in a row. I’m 46 and I just am so thrilled to be able to get this done.”"

Pride has carried the card below in his wallet for the last six months as motivation.

Also on the list of Web.com Tour graduates to earn one of the 25 entry spots onto the PGA Tour is Harold Varner III. He is the first African-American player to earn PGA Tour status through the Web.com Tour’s regular season.

"“It’s been up-and-down, but it’s something that I’m going to benefit from in the long run,” Varner told PGATour.com. “I’m going to enjoy the moment. I’m going to catch a flight, I’m going to hug my mom and dad tomorrow, and I’m sure they’ll cry.”"

While life on the Web.com Tour and mini-tours isn’t glamorous like the stars we see on TV every week, it can still lead to bigger and better things.
