Jack Wighton knocked out Jamie Soward with a vicious hit during Monday’s Penrith Panthers – Canberra Raiders NRL match. Soward was knocked unconscious and had to be stretchered off the field in a neckbrace. Wighton received a one-week ban for the hit which many argue was completely legal. It appears the first point of contact was shoulder-to-shoulder and Soward just snapped his neck violently. The fact that Wighton has 3-inches on Soward doomed them both on the brutal collision.
