Report: Houston Texans RB Arian Foster Will NOT be Placed on IR, Could be Back as Soon as Week 3

First, he was supposed to be out for just a month…

Then there were rumors his injured groin was not progressing, might require surgery, and could be out for the season…

Then, today, via NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport:Houston Texans star running back Arian Foster will indeed be back sooner rather than later, and will NOT be placed on the team’s injured reserve list — which would have effectively ended his season.

The Houston Chronicle‘s Aaron Wilson reported yesterday that Arian could be back as soon as early October…

…but now it appears Foster may be back sooner, more specifically: for the Texans’ Week 3 match up vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
