“Patriots owner, Deflategate Judge Mingle at Party” says the Page Six feature with the New York Post. Which, yeah, the word “mingle” means “to move around during a party, meeting, etc., and talk informally with different people.”

And there really were a lot of different people.

Let’s see, among those mentioned in that article and the earlier one on the party were: Oprah Winfrey, Martha Stewart, Katie Couric, Alec Baldwin, CBS’ Les Moonves, Harvey Weinstein, James Dolan, David Geffen, Lorne Michaels, Senator Chuck Schumer, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Jack Welch, Dan Abrams, Jimmy Buffett and Ryan Seacrest. Oh, and Harry Connick, Jr.

“It was a chance encounter at a social event with hundreds of guests. There was a brief introduction and an exchange of pleasantries that lasted no more than a couple of minutes,” a Patriots rep told Page Six.

But, but, this probably means that there was some sort of bias by the judge in ruling in favor of another person runs among social elite. [that’s the sarcasm font]. I mean, the guys at the NFL on the other side of the issue are just honest working class Joes.

The real story is that Jimmy Buffett was at a party in the Hamptons. But leave Page Six to bury the lede.
