This is What Happens When Weed Killer, Not Fertilizer, is Used on a Football Field
By Kyle Koster

The company employed by St. Edward High School (Illinois) to maintain the school’s football field was doing a pretty good job until they used weed killer instead of fertilizer on the grass. I don’t want to be overly negative here but the result of the mistake is one bad-looking playing surface.

St. Edward is mulling its options in regards to future home games. If they deem the field unplayable after practicing on it, those contests may have to be moved to a local park.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the company responsible feels “terrible” about what’s believed to be an honest mistake.
Chicago-area sport turf specialists are undoubtably preparing their best pitches in the wake of this unspeakable landscaping tragedy.
