Vin Scully Asks: "Are there any people left in the Dominican?"

Gonzalez German made a relief appearance for the Colorado Rockies last night against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Dominican-born pitcher’s presence in Southern California prompted legendary broadcaster Vin Scully to wonder if the island is still populated by human beings. The implication, of course, is that everyone from the country is currently playing Major League Baseball.

In 2013, the Dominican Republic was 10.4 million, according to World Bank.
