Louis Murphy Consoled a "Sobbing" Tim Tebow Before "Promise" Speech

Tim Tebow is legend. ESPN released a long article about the rise and fall of the Florida Gators under Urban Meyer. (The fall is coming tOSU fans. Just wait.) Tim Tebow, despite being a former and now current ESPN employee, declined interview for the piece. Still, there’s plenty in there about his slightly exaggerated role as the ultimate team leader. Like this tidbit about just before his most famous moment as a Gators quarterback. Via ESPN:

"Tebow’s famed “Promise” speech after the Ole Miss loss is now celebrated with a plaque outside The Swamp. What went untold: wide receiver Louis Murphy consoling a sobbing Tebow minutes before that speech, assuring him Florida would win out."

Personally, I think Louis Murphy deserves a statue of himself consoling a crying Tim Tebow.
