Everyone from Stephen A. Smith to Plaxico Burress to Paul LoDuca is Railing on Chip Kelly
By Jason Lisk
Chip Kelly is a controversial, divisive figure, and he put a bullseye on his back with the offseason power play that gave him more personnel control. Plenty of people have been waiting for a disastrous game, and the Eagles are providing it against Dallas so far. DeMarco Murray, Darren Sproles, and Ryan Mathews combined for -2 yards on 15 carries. Sam Bradford looked like, well, Sam Bradford in a Rams jersey, throwing two interceptions and averaging 6 yards per attempt. The offense’s only touchdown came in the final two minutes. The Eagles lost at home to a Cowboys team that finished without Tony Romo and did not have Dez Bryant.
Ouch.
The crowd–at least what was left in the Linc– was not happy with what they saw. And needless to say, Chip Kelly was not a popular figure on social media. I could link a bunch of tweets from just about anyone ripping on him in a variety of creative ways, but here is a sampling, just from media members and former athletes.
