Jon Gruden Thinks Andrew Luck Ran "Spider 2 Y Banana" Just for Him

The Indianapolis Colts ran Spider 2 Y Banana in the red zone against the New York Jets. Andrew Luck’s pass to tackle Joe Reitz fell incomplete. No one was happier than Jon Gruden, who excitedly told Monday Night Football viewers the Colts ran it solely for his amusement.
Gruden’s infatuation with the play has been well-documented. At one point he and Mike Tirico made a S2YB protein shake in the booth, much to the delight of the internet.
If the Colts are, in fact, running an offense designed to entertain Gruden at the expense of scoring points, they should reconsider such a strategy. The Jets currently lead, 7-0.
