TOUR Championship Tee Times and Odds: Day and Spieth Paired Together, It All Comes Down to This

The TOUR Championship, held at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, is the final tournament of the FedExCup playoffs. As the last tournament in the PGA Tour season and the last chance golfers have to win the FedExCup Playoffs, there’s a lot on the line, including a $10 million dollar bonus. Jason Day, who claimed his fifth win of the season on Sunday at the BMW Championship and assumed the number one position in the Official World Golf Rankings and is in first place in the FedExCup standings, is in prime position to claim the title and that giant bonus.

Day will face off against the top 30 left in the FedExCup field, and if he wants to hold onto first place he’ll have to either win, or hope that Rickie Fowler, Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, or Henrick Stenson don’t win. Should any of those four guys take home the TOUR Championship trophy, they’ll also win the FedExCup.

Also, should Jason Day win the Tour Championship and claim the FedExCup title, he has a very good shot at the Player of the Year award. Jordan Spieth, who won both the Masters and U.S. Open and made a run at The Open Championship and PGA Championship, is still the most deserving player in my opinion.
