My five best bets:

Milwaukee Bucks over 43.5 wins. Won 41 games in year one with Jason Kidd and that was largely without their best player, Jabari Parker. Healthy, this feels like a 50-win team.

Philadelphia 76ers over 21.5 wins. I think Jahlil Okafor will have a very real chance at ROY, Noel is a defensive star, and they’ve got two 3-point gunners in Stauskas and Covington. This is still a team with a long way to go, but I think they could win 25 games.

Golden State Warriors under 60.5 wins. Love the Warriors. Love Stephen Curry. But everyone was healthy all last year. The rest of the West, not so much. These things have a way of flipping. The hunger angle is real – they just won a title and Draymond Green just got paid. The Warriors could certainly repeat, but I’m not sure they’ll get 60 wins.

Charlotte Hornets over 32.5 wins. Wisely jettisoned Lance Stephenson, who was toxic on that team. Remember, this team won 43 games in 2013-2014. Yes, I like the additions of Jeremy Lin, Frank Kaminsky, Nic Batum and Jeremy Lamb.

New York Knicks under 31.5 wins. The offseason was a disaster, I can’t see Porzingis contributing, and the bottom of the East is improved. This is a bad basketball team, and I wouldn’t be shocked if Phil Jackson started thinking about an exit strategy by season’s end.
