Bryce Harper has always been destined for baseball greatness. Here he is at 11-years-old after winning a home run derby in Cooperstown, New York. Baseball America co-editor in chief John Manuel shared the photo after coming across it while cleaning out his archives.
Harper would probably prefer it hadn’t been posted online. It’s hard to look cool at 11. I vividly recall the middle part on my bowl cut.
Oddly enough, young Harper bears a resemblance to Jonathan Papelbon today. You know, if you squint enough.
